Dear Sirs,
Please print my letter in your editorial column and take appropriate actions for your moral blunder.
The Finger Lakes Sunday Times is equally involved with the depraved immoral indifference demonstrated by the topless freaks of nature parading Saturday in Pine Hills Park and on the front page of your Sunday news paper. I need to remind you that you are reporting to Yates county public which has in times past been by majority called Christian and has held Christian morals. Christian morals are based on the Bible's revelation of what God calls right and wrong. Morals are not determined by a 1992 supreme court decision that women are just like men, (most of us realize that such thinking is pure balderdash, and that women ARE different than men, created for a different more glorious purpose and that they are now and have always been held to different standards of behavior in our society). Morals are not determined by The Evolving Spirit of new age wickaness and demon worship. Morals are not determined by what Barbara Crump feels is or is not immoral. God help us when you would even give front page coverage, with pictures, to such a morally depraved organization. And morals are not determined by a majority vote, especially of people trained from their youth in godless schools trained that there are no such things as moral absolutes. Moral absolutes are found in God's word, and are held by the majority of your reading audience who came out of Church Sunday to find your front page promotion of nudists and their audacious immoral strive for publicity and acceptance in our community to be very offensive. Shame on you. As a news paper you should report the news, sure, but as a Baptist Bible Preacher I will remind you that you have some responsibility to contend with the evil, and not wallow in the evil. The Bible says "They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them." The law in subject here is God's law not our supreme court's laws. (Christians realize that our courts departed from God's laws in the 60's when they kicked his Bible out of our schools, authorized the murder of children in the womb, and bought the line of liberals that one cannot legalize morality.) Take this reminder, from a Bible Believer that you too have a responsibility to contend with the evil that is slithering into Yates County. If the Bible is true public nudity is wicked, and sin. For the godless or evolving spirit worshipers who's mother didn't get the lesson across to you, human nature itself teaches you so. Your contention and promotion of an ideal that this public nudity is not shameful or sinful is both shameful and sinful. You owe your reading public an apology for such front page coverage of shameful and sinful behavior.
Sincerely Yours
Pastor Edward G. Rice
